This notice explains how personal data of visitors to emirhankoc.com and of people who contact me is processed, in line with Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").
1. Data controller
The data controller is Emirhan Koç. You can reach me at info@emirhankoc.com.
2. What data I process
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), company/brand (optional), the services you are interested in and your message.
- Direct contact: information you share when you write via WhatsApp or email.
- Visit statistics (only with your consent): pages visited, clicks, device type, country, browser language and referring site. Your IP address and browser details are turned into a one-way, daily identifier; the country is looked up from the IP address in a database on the server; the IP address itself is not stored or shared, and no cookies are used.
- Server logs: technical logs kept by the hosting infrastructure for security and operation (IP address, date and time, requested page).
3. Purposes
- Replying to your message or quote request and holding pre-contract discussions,
- Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse (spam),
- With your consent, understanding which parts of the site are of interest to improve the content.
4. Legal grounds
Contact data is processed under KVKK Art. 5/2-c (establishing or performing a contract) and Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interest). Visit statistics and transfer abroad for email services are based on your explicit consent (Art. 5/1, Art. 9). Server logs fall under Art. 5/2-ç and 5/2-f.
5. Who receives the data
- Hosting provider: the site and form messages are stored on its servers.
- Email service: form messages are forwarded to my mailbox, which is managed via Google LLC (Gmail); data may therefore be transferred to servers abroad, based on the explicit consent you give with the form checkbox.
- Authorised public bodies where legally required.
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp (Meta); anything you share there is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
6. How data is collected
Directly from you via the contact form, email and WhatsApp; visit statistics are collected automatically by a small script on the site, only if you allow it.
7. Retention
Form messages are kept for at most 2 years and then deleted automatically. Statistics are kept only in aggregate form. Just write to me if you want your data deleted sooner.
8. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
You have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly, know the recipients, request correction or deletion, request that recipients be notified, object to outcomes of automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
